Suitable for large or small-scale venues and universally appreciated by children and adults alike, 'The Attic' is a musical that marks a return to traditional family values and encapsulates multi-cultural themes that are so prevalent in today’s media.

Essentially devised as an Ensemble work, the piece has on one hand the availability to be produced without the constraints of a large budget focussing on character and story or alternatively as a full-scale show with elaborate design and staging opportunities.

The show has been realised in a workshop format at the Haymarket Theatre in October 2008 with a cast that included Ruthie Henshall, Jessica Martin and Alex Hanson. The writer used the same cast to record a concept album.

The script has undergone numerous re-writes, and the writer is open to further artistic and development input.

An executive summary detailing running costs based on a small-scale production is being created and will be available in due course.
